Vintage Caravan Hideaway

Ivy is a lovingly restored vintage caravan hidden away from the world – a comfortable hideaway, perfect for 2.

About Ivy

Ivy is set in her own space in the far corner of the meadow, away from yurts and camping. Basic but practical, she has her own compost loo, piping hot shower and outside kitchen

What’s inside

Ivy has just one double bed, made up with fresh linens which can be made into a sofa during the day if the weather is bad. Outside, you have your own fire bowl, table and chairs – perfect for a night of stargazing.

Frequent Questions

Where abouts is Ivy located?

Ivy is our new hideaway located in the far right hand corner of the meadow adjacent (but not close to) Badger Camp.

How many does Ivy sleep?
Ivy is set up with a double bed so it’s perfect for couples. If you would like to bring children with you then it is sometimes possible to pitch a 2 man tent next to Ivy – please contact camphq@nightpastures.com to discuss before making a booking.
What are the bathroom facilities?

Ivy has her own hand built bathroom with a compost loo and wonderfully hot shower. We provide fluffy towels for every guest.

What are the Kitchen facilities like?

Ivy has a handbuilt outdoor field kitchen, with gas burners, kettle and a sink for washing up. She also has her own large ice-box which keeps all refrigerated items cold. Ice bricks can be swapped over in the shop each day.  Ivy has a modest (basic) selection of the plates, cutlery, cups, utensils and pans which should be adequate for cooking a simple meal. There is a picnic table outside for al fresco dining.

What about Campfires?

We think campfires are essential for any glamping holiday!  Ivy has her own fire bowl which can double up as a charcoal BBQ should you wish to have a true outdoor experience. Wood, kindling, lighters and matches can be purchased on site. Please be careful to keep the fire pit away from the van and control the fire at all times. Please note that there is no smoking or naked flames inside Ivy.

What about Electricity & WiFi?

Ivy has internal fairy lights but you may want to bring torches for extra lighting. There is no electricity for charging phones but there is some electricity in the shop and we will happily put your phone on charge for the day if necessary as well as provide power for essential medical equipment. A stay at Night Pastures is all about switching off so we have consciously decided not to offer WiFi to our guests however there are 4G and 5G signals in parts of the field so you won’t be completely cut off.

Do you allow dogs?
Sadly, Dogs are not permitted in any of our glamping options
Is there Parking?

Parking is available in the field adjacent to Night Pastures and access to the van is via a short walk across the field. You can unload your car in the drop off zone by the gate where you will find wheelbarrows to help you move your luggage. Once unloaded, we ask that you move your car back to the main parking area to the right past the garages. We have a couple of disabled parking spaces available for the less mobile. Please note that in order to preserve Night Pastures unique environment and meadow habitat, parking next to the van is strictly prohibited.

Is Early Check-in & Late Check-out possible?

Our check-in times are staggered to reduce congestion in the drop off zone and you are welcome to check-in from  3.30pm. A 1.30pm early check-in and 12.30pm late check-out can sometimes be arranged in advance but there is a £25 charge for this service. To ensure that other guests are not disturbed, we do not allow check-in after 9pm. We respectfully ask that you are punctual at check-out so that we can get the tents ready for the next guests.

Do you have a minimum stay?

All of our glamping options have a 2 night minimum stay and 3 nights over a bank holiday weekend. Occasionally, a single night can be arranged for a midweek stay. Please contact CampHQ@nightpastures.com to enquire.

Will I be cold?

There is no heating inside Ivy so you will need to rely on the duvets provided. If you feel the cold then we suggest you bring some extra layers and a hot water bottle.

Are Linen and towels included?
The bed will be freshly made for your arrival with sheets, duvets and pillows. Towels and a bath mat are also provided. All bedding is changed at the end of your stay but if you need it changed before then, please contact the site manager who will arrange it for you. Additional charges apply for extra linen
