Frequent Questions

How many Bell tents do you have?

We have just 2 bell tents at Night Pastures, named after the songbirds you will hear in the meadow. They are located together, in a secluded spot halfway up the site. Our Bells are adjacent to the family camping area (Fox Camp) on one side and Willow Yurt on the other – but both of these are at least 200m away

What are the bathroom facilities?

Our Bells share a bathroom trailer with a vanity area, 2 compost loos and a hot shower. We provide fluffy towels for every guest.

What are the kitchen facilities?
Our Bells share an outdoor field kitchen, with gas burners, kettle and a sink for washing up. Each bell tent has its own large ice-box which keeps all refrigerated items cold. Ice bricks can be swapped over in the shop each day. The bells have a modest (basic) selection of the plates, cutlery, cups, utensils and pans which should be adequate for cooking a simple meal. There is a picnic table outside each bell tent as well as a couple of camping chairs for you to enjoy.
What about campfires?
We think campfires are essential for any glamping holiday!  Each Bell tent has its own fire bowl which can double up as a charcoal BBQ should you wish to have a true outdoor experience. Wood, kindling, lighters and matches can be purchased on site. Please be careful to keep the fire pit away from the tent and control the fire at all times. Please note that there is no smoking or naked flames inside the Bell tents.
Electricity and Wifi

Each bell tent has lots of fairy lights but you may want to bring torches for extra lighting. There is no electricity for charging phones but there is some electricity in the shop and we will happily put your phone on charge for the day if necessary as well as provide power for essential medical equipment. A stay at Night Pastures is all about switching off so we have consciously decided not to offer WiFi to our guests however there are 4G and 5G signals in parts of the field so you won’t be completely cut off.

Are linen and towels included?

The beds will be freshly made for your arrival with sheets, duvets and pillows. Towels and a bath mat are also provided. All bedding is changed at the end of your stay but if you need it changed before then, please contact the site manager who will arrange it for you. Additional charges apply for extra linen

Is there parking?
Parking is available in the field adjacent to Night Pastures and access to the bells is via a short walk across the field. You can unload your car in the drop off zone by the gate where you will find wheelbarrows to help you move your luggage. Once unloaded, we ask that you move your car back to the main parking area to the right past the garages. We have a couple of disabled parking spaces available for the less mobile. Please note that in order to preserve Night Pastures unique environment and meadow habitat, parking next to your bell tent is strictly prohibited.
Is Early Check-in and Late Check out possible?
Our check-in times are staggered to reduce congestion in the drop-off zone and you are welcome to check-in from 3.30 pm. A 1.30 pm early check-in and 12.30 late check-out can sometimes be arranged in advance but there is a £25 charge for this service. To ensure that other guests are not disturbed, we do not allow check-in after 9 pm. We respectfully ask that you are punctual at check-out so that we can get the tents ready for the next guests.
Do you have a minimum stay?
All of our glamping options have a 2 night minimum stay and 3 nights over a bank holiday weekend. Occasionally, a single night can be arranged for a midweek stay. Please contact CampHQ@nightpastures.com to enquire.
Do you allow dogs?
Sadly, Dogs are not permitted in any of our glamping options
Will I be cold?
There is no heating inside the bell tents so you will need to rely on the duvets provided. If you feel the cold then we suggest you bring some extra layers and a hot water bottle.
