Family sized Yurt sleeping a maximum of 6 guests staying in comfort and style.
About Your Yurt
Natural light spills through an open oak stable door and three picture windows. Sit back and listen to the sounds of bird song and the rustle of the leaves in the morning breeze. Breathe deep as the fresh air fills your lungs.
A luxurious double bed, and four optional single beds complete with fresh linen and chest of drawers makes your rural retreat a home from home. On those rare occasions when the sun doesn’t shine, the natural insulation of wood floor, wool rugs and the warmth of a wood burning stove will keep you blissfully cosy.
Wonderful "camping" in the South Downs. Charlotte and Rachel were super helpful and welcoming... Everything you need for a great weekend! Just note that there is no fridge - you get a cool box and new ice everyday which is excellent - but if you want to chill ambient drinks this is a bit of a challenge.
Would definitely recommend a visit and spud come back and stay again. Also had lunch at the nearby Rising Sun which was excellent - but definitely book!Jane7/10/2016
This was our first Air B&B experience and we cannot rate it highly enough. Charlotte gave immediate confirmation and then followed up with clear and personal information, even down to ensuring instructions were awaiting us for our drive to Goodwood the next day.Vanessa9/13/2015
Charlotte greeted us upon arrival. She was very warm and welcoming. As we were up and out bright and early, returning late, we missed charlotte when she came by to check if all was okay but she still texted us daily to check in, did we need anything, was all okay at the yurt. She is such a lovely host!
The yurt was clean, the beds very comfortable and the shower hot and powerful. We enjoyed lighting our camp fire each night and toasting s'mores. We really enjoyed our stay, good old family fun, no iPads, boys soon got over that. So it was board games, cycling, even heading to west whittering and camp fires to end each day. Perfect. Having spoken to Charlotte and know she has plans for the future, I.e pizza oven etc. Which we felt was needed but we will be back regardless! We have stayed in a similar set up, but our own shower/bathroom really was a plus for us. Looking forward to staying again in the not too distant future. Our boys said it was the best holiday, says it all.
Returned here for another short family get away as it is the most peaceful and relaxing place I have ever stayed. Lovely nights sleep in the comfy beds and total quiet. Lots of space for our kids to run and play. Cosy fires and all the cooking equipment we needed. A really special time for all the family in a beautiful place! Thank you!Melissa9/04/2020
A great place for some country R&R. The yurt was v spacious and fully equipped to hide from the rain in front of the log burner. Can’t recommend highly enough!Richard10/31/2020
We came to Nightpastures to celebrate mine and my friends 30th birthday. Bozanka our host was absolutely fantastic. The yurt and facilities were fabulous & the scenery was stunning. Arrival was smooth & we always felt Bozanka was only a call/text away.
It felt like she really cared about the properties and that really made the weekend special.
The recommendations for pubs & bike hire were also brilliant and the staff at both the Bike shop & the Duke of Cumberland Arms was delicious.
We will be coming back again with the kids next time as it was just the perfect weekend.Natasha10/23/2016
An amazing place- peaceful and perfect.
Our family of six were very comfortable in the yurt - and we had a fantastic few days altogether.
A brilliant place to see the clear night skies and watch shooting stars.
Rach was extremely welcoming and lovely. Would definitely come again.Lucy8/15/2018
This was our first time in a Yurt. We loved it. A lovely peaceful location - starry skies and beautiful surroundings and we even spotted a deer in the field in the morning. The beds were super comfy and we had everything we needed. Good space for all 5 of us (travelling with three children 17, 14 and 9). Weather was sunny but freezing cold on the one night and we woke to a hard frost. But with the log burner going all night we were snug as bugs. A really lovely experience to get away from the world for a few days. Rach is friendly and makes everything very easy - thank you.Sharon5/06/2019
Fantastic hospitality by Bozhanka and her family. An added bonus was the unexpected tractor ride for the kids to get the luggage to the yurt.
The setting of the yurts is outstanding and fabulous for tranquility in the middle of nowhere. Nature is all around you, which also includes a few creepy crawlies, as to be expected.
I highly recommend the walk to The Duke of Cumberland Arms, which served fantastic lunch.Petra7/26/2017
How many yurts do you have?
We have just 5 yurts at Night Pastures. Beech & Oak sleep 4, Chestnut, Willow and Redwood sleep 6. The yurts are spaced some distance (50-100m) apart with Beech, Chestnut and Oak down one side, Willow on its own on the other and Redwood in the middle (between Beech and Willow).
What are the Bathroom facilities?
What are the Kitchen facilities like?
Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow all have their own covered, outdoor field kitchen a couple of meters from the yurt with gas burners, grill, sink for washing up and work surface. A large ice-box keeps all refrigerated items cold and fresh ice bricks are available daily. The yurts are fully equipped with all the plates, cutlery, glasses, utensils, pots and pans you will need for your stay. Redwood has use of the communal camp kitchen but is provided with all the same equipment as the other yurts. There is a picnic table outside each yurt as well as an indoor dining table in case it’s raining. Each yurt also has its own BBQ and BBQ packs are available to buy from the local pub.
What about Campfires?
We think campfires are essential for any glamping holiday! There is a large communal stone fire pit between Beech and Chestnut Yurts and each yurt has its own fire bowl. You will be provided with logs for the internal wood burner and additional logs for campfires can be purchased on site at £10 per bag. Please be careful to keep the fire pit away from the Yurt and control the fire at all times. Please note that there is no smoking or naked flames inside the Yurt.
What about Electricity & WiFi?
Is there Parking?
Parking is available in the field adjacent to Night Pastures and access to the yurts is via a short walk across the field. You can unload your car in the drop off zone by the gate where you will find wheelbarrows to help you move your luggage. Once unloaded, we ask that you move your car back to the main parking area to the right past the garages. We have a couple of disabled parking spaces available for the less mobile. Please note that in order to preserve Night Pastures unique environment and meadow habitat, parking next to your yurt is strictly prohibited.
Is Early Check-in & Late Check-out possible?
Do you have a minimum stay?
All of our yurts have a 2 night minimum stay and 3 nights over a bank holiday weekend.
Will I be cold?
There is a handmade wood burning stove in each yurt which will be prepared ready for your arrival. Within the cost of your booking, we provide a bag of logs, kindling, firelighters and a lighter. Additional bags of logs can be purchased for £10 per bag.
Are Linen and towels included?
The beds will be freshly made for your arrival with sheets, duvets and pillows. Towels and a bath mat are also provided for guests staying in Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow. All bedding is changed at the end of your stay but if you need it changed before then, please contact the site manager who will arrange it for you. Additional charges apply for extra linen
