About Your Yurt
Natural light spills through an open oak door and five picture windows. Sit back and listen to the sounds of bird song and the rustle of the leaves in the morning breeze. Breathe deep as the fresh air fills your lungs. Redwood is available for organised cycling groups to book as an 8 bed stopover for bike-packing trips. Please contact us.
Thanks for a lovely stay! We really enjoyed the space in the yurt & thankful for the fire come the night time! The space felt very homely, with all the things you would need for a comfortable stay. Rachel was lovely & so helpful. She really made us feel welcome. We will definitely visit again soon. Thank you!Suzie4/12/2019
Enjoyed a wonderful weekend at this great location. Amazing place to unwind and ground for a few days. We stayed in the Chestnut yurt for 6 people; really comfy; great outdoor kitchen and the luxury of your own bathroom/toilet.
The site manager, Rachel, was superb; made us feel at home and was very welcoming. Our 3 1/2 year old daughter loved the ride in the Gator from the car park to the Yurt and she spent most of the weekend chasing the butterflies and enjoying the freedom.
Thank you and we will return.Tim8/05/2018
I couldn't recommend this yurt highly enough. I rented it for my birthday with a few friends. It was perfect and hassle free. Everything we needed was there and all the little details made such a difference. The farm is lovely and very peaceful. We took a long walk to a local pub (recommended by Rachel the site manager), it was a lovely way to spend the day. The yurt itself is a great size, it was big enough for us all to eat and relax inside while it was raining. We put the wood burner on and couldn't have been happier. The bathroom was clean and spacious with a hot showers. Rachel was really friendly and helpful and they were flexible with our check out time, which was great. Will definitely be going back. We loved it.Tara8/18/2019
Wonderful "camping" in the South Downs. Charlotte and Rachel were super helpful and welcoming... Everything you need for a great weekend! Just note that there is no fridge - you get a cool box and new ice everyday which is excellent - but if you want to chill ambient drinks this is a bit of a challenge.
Would definitely recommend a visit and spud come back and stay again. Also had lunch at the nearby Rising Sun which was excellent - but definitely book!Jane7/10/2016

Beautiful, quiet Yurt in the countryside that brings nothing but joy and peace. Everything you need to escape from the busy life: friendly hosts, spotless clean, kitchen, fireplace, toilets, environmentally friendly and run by people with loving hearts and kindness. Definitely recommend and will be revisiting again! Thank you.Alexandar6/20/2018
The yurt is absolutely beautiful and just as it is described and shown in the pictures. Our 2 kids had a a great time playing on the swing and running around the fields, having water fights, getting muddy and toasting marshmallows in the evening. There are lots of gorgeous pubs and country walks / cycle rides to do close by. A really fun stay.Victoria6/02/2017
The yurt was perfect - big, clean, everything in working order, everything we needed. The location was amazing - quiet but not in the middle of nowhere, beautiful and a good distance away from other yurts. The host could not have been more helpful and accommodating - bringing us ice, extra sponges and just being so welcoming and friendly. I couldn't recommend this place more! Thank you so much.Sophie8/15/2016
We had the most wonderful time at the yurt, which is beautifully set up and in an incredible spot. It was extremely spacious - there were five of us and we had plenty of room. Charlotte was a wonderful host and made us feel extremely welcome. It's the perfect spot for a tranquil weekend away - lots of lovely walks and pubs in the area but also a great place to just stay inside and relax. Great cooking and bathroom facilities as well. We'll definitely be back!Julia8/08/2016
This was our first time in a Yurt. We loved it. A lovely peaceful location - starry skies and beautiful surroundings and we even spotted a deer in the field in the morning. The beds were super comfy and we had everything we needed. Good space for all 5 of us (travelling with three children 17, 14 and 9). Weather was sunny but freezing cold on the one night and we woke to a hard frost. But with the log burner going all night we were snug as bugs. A really lovely experience to get away from the world for a few days. Rach is friendly and makes everything very easy - thank you.Sharon5/06/2019
How many yurts do you have?
We have just 5 yurts at Night Pastures. Beech & Oak sleep 4, Chestnut, Willow and Redwood sleep 6. The yurts are spaced some distance (50-100m) apart with Beech, Chestnut and Oak down one side, Willow on its own on the other and Redwood in the middle (between Beech and Willow).
What are the Bathroom facilities?
What are the Kitchen facilities like?
Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow all have their own covered, outdoor field kitchen a couple of meters from the yurt with gas burners, grill, sink for washing up and work surface. A large ice-box keeps all refrigerated items cold and fresh ice bricks are available daily. The yurts are fully equipped with all the plates, cutlery, glasses, utensils, pots and pans you will need for your stay. Redwood has use of the communal camp kitchen but is provided with all the same equipment as the other yurts. There is a picnic table outside each yurt as well as an indoor dining table in case it’s raining. Each yurt also has its own BBQ and BBQ packs are available to buy from the local pub.
What about Campfires?
We think campfires are essential for any glamping holiday! There is a large communal stone fire pit between Beech and Chestnut Yurts and each yurt has its own fire bowl. You will be provided with logs for the internal wood burner and additional logs for campfires can be purchased on site at £10 per bag. Please be careful to keep the fire pit away from the Yurt and control the fire at all times. Please note that there is no smoking or naked flames inside the Yurt.
What about Electricity & WiFi?
Is there Parking?
Parking is available in the field adjacent to Night Pastures and access to the yurts is via a short walk across the field. You can unload your car in the drop off zone by the gate where you will find wheelbarrows to help you move your luggage. Once unloaded, we ask that you move your car back to the main parking area to the right past the garages. We have a couple of disabled parking spaces available for the less mobile. Please note that in order to preserve Night Pastures unique environment and meadow habitat, parking next to your yurt is strictly prohibited.
Is Early Check-in & Late Check-out possible?
Do you have a minimum stay?
All of our yurts have a 2 night minimum stay and 3 nights over a bank holiday weekend.
Will I be cold?
There is a handmade wood burning stove in each yurt which will be prepared ready for your arrival. Within the cost of your booking, we provide a bag of logs, kindling, firelighters and a lighter. Additional bags of logs can be purchased for £10 per bag.
Are Linen and towels included?
The beds will be freshly made for your arrival with sheets, duvets and pillows. Towels and a bath mat are also provided for guests staying in Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow. All bedding is changed at the end of your stay but if you need it changed before then, please contact the site manager who will arrange it for you. Additional charges apply for extra linen
