About Your Yurt
Natural light spills through an open oak door and five picture windows. Sit back and listen to the sounds of bird song and the rustle of the leaves in the morning breeze. Breathe deep as the fresh air fills your lungs. Redwood is available for organised cycling groups to book as an 8 bed stopover for bike-packing trips. Please contact us.

What a wonderful Yurt, so well made, so well thought out and so well kitted out. Cooking area very easy, Loo and Shower clean and worked well, infinite hot water. Much better than a bed and breakfast!Peter8/23/2015
Yurt was great fun and came with all the amenities we needed, particularly for bbqs/catering. A lovely warm welcome and a great area for exploringJo8/27/2019
We spent 3 nights with our 9 and 4 year old at Chestnut yurt in August. We felt very welcome by the host and communication was really good. There was everything we needed and we very much enjoyed our stay!
The surroundings are stunning offering great walks and a choice of several great country pubs. We would highly recommend it!Miriam8/17/2015
We just loved everything about this place, the yurt was beautiful and comfortable, the bathroom hut was luxurious! The setting was stunning, the kids loved the rope swings. We loved the local pub the rising sun, the food was incredible and we really enjoyed the Hollycombe steam Collection just 5 mins away. We will be back!Kirsty4/16/2017
The yurt was much bigger than we thought, and has super comfy beds with everything you need for a great camping trip. Rachel was brilliant and always on hand if we ran out of wood or firelighters. The inside wood fire and portable fire pit outside are fantastic. The kids loved it and are asking when we can go back.Kent5/25/2015
Just loved the nothingness of the location of this comfy yurt; coming back next week-end! Charlotte and Rachel are super friendly and helpfull.Elbert7/22/2014
We had the most wonderful time at the yurt, which is beautifully set up and in an incredible spot. It was extremely spacious - there were five of us and we had plenty of room. Charlotte was a wonderful host and made us feel extremely welcome. It's the perfect spot for a tranquil weekend away - lots of lovely walks and pubs in the area but also a great place to just stay inside and relax. Great cooking and bathroom facilities as well. We'll definitely be back!Julia8/08/2016
How many yurts do you have?
We have just 5 yurts at Night Pastures. Beech & Oak sleep 4, Chestnut, Willow and Redwood sleep 6. The yurts are spaced some distance (50-100m) apart with Beech, Chestnut and Oak down one side, Willow on its own on the other and Redwood in the middle (between Beech and Willow).
What are the Bathroom facilities?
What are the Kitchen facilities like?
Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow all have their own covered, outdoor field kitchen a couple of meters from the yurt with gas burners, grill, sink for washing up and work surface. A large ice-box keeps all refrigerated items cold and fresh ice bricks are available daily. The yurts are fully equipped with all the plates, cutlery, glasses, utensils, pots and pans you will need for your stay. Redwood has use of the communal camp kitchen but is provided with all the same equipment as the other yurts. There is a picnic table outside each yurt as well as an indoor dining table in case it’s raining. Each yurt also has its own BBQ and BBQ packs are available to buy from the local pub.
What about Campfires?
We think campfires are essential for any glamping holiday! There is a large communal stone fire pit between Beech and Chestnut Yurts and each yurt has its own fire bowl. You will be provided with logs for the internal wood burner and additional logs for campfires can be purchased on site at £10 per bag. Please be careful to keep the fire pit away from the Yurt and control the fire at all times. Please note that there is no smoking or naked flames inside the Yurt.
What about Electricity & WiFi?
Is there Parking?
Parking is available in the field adjacent to Night Pastures and access to the yurts is via a short walk across the field. You can unload your car in the drop off zone by the gate where you will find wheelbarrows to help you move your luggage. Once unloaded, we ask that you move your car back to the main parking area to the right past the garages. We have a couple of disabled parking spaces available for the less mobile. Please note that in order to preserve Night Pastures unique environment and meadow habitat, parking next to your yurt is strictly prohibited.
Is Early Check-in & Late Check-out possible?
Do you have a minimum stay?
All of our yurts have a 2 night minimum stay and 3 nights over a bank holiday weekend.
Will I be cold?
There is a handmade wood burning stove in each yurt which will be prepared ready for your arrival. Within the cost of your booking, we provide a bag of logs, kindling, firelighters and a lighter. Additional bags of logs can be purchased for £10 per bag.
Are Linen and towels included?
The beds will be freshly made for your arrival with sheets, duvets and pillows. Towels and a bath mat are also provided for guests staying in Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow. All bedding is changed at the end of your stay but if you need it changed before then, please contact the site manager who will arrange it for you. Additional charges apply for extra linen
