About Your Yurt

Willow is our greenest of Yurts with an ingenious composting loo. Bask in the morning sunlight through an open oak stable door and four picture windows.  All by itself on the west of the field you can be totally alone to enjoy to the fresh morning breeze, birdsong and the rustle of the leaves.

4 single beds

A luxurious double bed, and four single beds complete with large dining table and indoor kitchen. Fresh linen and chest of drawers makes your rural retreat a home from home. Willow’s extra thick natural wall insulation, fully carpeted floor and the warmth of a wood burning stove will keep you blissfully cosy.

I booked extremely last minute and Charlotte was very accommodating. She gave us a wonderfully warm welcome despite arriving later than I had said I would! A warm and excellent host. We loved the yurt - large, very comfortable beds, well equipped and stunning location. The yurts are well spaced out so you feel like you are in the field on your own. We loved the camp fire and BBQ. Perfect for the kiddies to run around and we will definitely be back. Thank you!

  • Fantastic atmospheric location. We loved staying in cosy Willow yurt. The bathroom and compost loo were great and we enjoyed the wood burning stove to keep us warm for a rainy October stay. The halloween activities were a huge highlight for our 6 year old son. There were heaps of gorgeous walks and lots of exploring to had. We would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.

Superb, secluded place only a stone's throw from London. Utter peace and tranquility. Our three boys all under 7 had a smashing time with loads of space to play in. The steam collection nearby waas ace too! Very welcoming hosting too. Really enjoyed it.

We had a great stay. Rachel and Charlotte were fantastic and really helpful. The yurt was plenty big enough for three grown ups and 15month old twins. Clean and tidy area. Very quiet and lots to see and do in the area. Will recommend and would love to go back.

Lovely quiet and peaceful yurt for 2 nights as a base for visiting the Goodwood Revival. Rach was very welcoming , great communication and a very tranquil place to stay and different experience rather than staying in a cottage. Once the wood stove is lit you won’t wish to leave.

Amazing countryside spot for a weekend away! We had a lovely stay at Willow Yurt, we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and really enjoyed being able to use the fire pit at night. The provision of cutlery, crockery and torches was really helpful and well thought out. The only negative thing was the squeaky door on the yurt which woke people up when in and out to the toilet, other than that everything was great! Would highly recommend

Really beautiful spot! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The 3 kids enjoyed the table tennis and fairy area by the creek especially.
The check-in instructions on Airbnb need to be updated - led to some confusion and frustration. Info folder in the yurt also needs updating - most instructions were for old/different equipment. Also we had SUPER squeaky door which meant everyone was woken up for night time toilet trips. And we seemed to be missing an outdoor kitchen station which the other yurts seemed to have and would have been a nice addition.
That aside we had a really nice time. And Mo was really really lovely and looked after us so well.

Frequent Questions

How many yurts do you have?

We have just 5 yurts at Night Pastures. Beech & Oak sleep 4, Chestnut, Willow and Redwood sleep 6. The yurts are spaced some distance (50-100m) apart with Beech, Chestnut and Oak down one side, Willow on its own on the other and Redwood in the middle (between Beech and Willow).

What are the Bathroom facilities?
Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow all have their own private bathrooms a couple of meters outside the yurt. These are fitted out to hotel standards with a hot shower and flushing loo. We provide Faith in Nature toiletries and fluffy towels for every guest. Redwood shares its bathroom facilities with the Campers but still includes hot showers and a composting loo. Guests staying in Redwood need to bring their own towels.
What are the Kitchen facilities like?

Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow all have their own covered, outdoor field kitchen a couple of meters from the yurt with gas burners, grill, sink for washing up and work surface. A large ice-box keeps all refrigerated items cold and fresh ice bricks are available daily. The yurts are fully equipped with all the plates, cutlery, glasses, utensils, pots and pans you will need for your stay. Redwood has use of the communal camp kitchen but is provided with all the same equipment as the other yurts. There is a picnic table outside each yurt as well as an indoor dining table in case it’s raining. Each yurt also has its own BBQ and BBQ packs are available to buy from the local pub.

What about Campfires?

We think campfires are essential for any glamping holiday! There is a large communal stone fire pit between Beech and Chestnut Yurts and each yurt has its own fire bowl. You will be provided with logs for the internal wood burner and additional logs for campfires can be purchased on site at £10 per bag. Please be careful to keep the fire pit away from the Yurt and control the fire at all times. Please note that there is no smoking or naked flames inside the Yurt.

What about Electricity & WiFi?
As an off-grid site, all of our electricity is solar powered. There is internal lighting and a socket inside each yurt which can be used to charge a phone but please remember that if you charge 6 phones on cloudy days then you may not have lights in the evening! Sadly solar does not produce enough power to run a hairdryer. There is mains electricity in the shop and we will happily put your phone on charge for the day if necessary as well as provide power for essential medical equipment. A stay at Night Pastures is all about switching off so we have consciously decided not to offer WiFi to our guests however there are 3G and 4G signals in parts of the field so you won’t be completely cut off.
Is there Parking?

Parking is available in the field adjacent to Night Pastures and access to the yurts is via a short walk across the field. You can unload your car in the drop off zone by the gate where you will find wheelbarrows to help you move your luggage. Once unloaded, we ask that you move your car back to the main parking area to the right past the garages. We have a couple of disabled parking spaces available for the less mobile. Please note that in order to preserve Night Pastures unique environment and meadow habitat, parking next to your yurt is strictly prohibited.

Is Early Check-in & Late Check-out possible?
Our check-in times are staggered to reduce congestion in the drop off zone and you are welcome to check-into your yurt from 4pm. A 2pm early check-in can sometimes be arranged in advance but there is a £25 charge for this service. To ensure that other guests are not disturbed, we do not allow check-in after 9pm. We respectfully ask that you are punctual at check-out so that we can get the yurts ready for the next guests.
Do you have a minimum stay?

All of our yurts have a 2 night minimum stay and 3 nights over a bank holiday weekend.

Will I be cold?

There is a handmade wood burning stove in each yurt which will be prepared ready for your arrival. Within the cost of your booking, we provide a bag of logs, kindling, firelighters and a lighter. Additional bags of logs can be purchased for £10 per bag.

Are Linen and towels included?

The beds will be freshly made for your arrival with sheets, duvets and pillows.  Towels and a bath mat are also provided for guests staying in Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow. All bedding is changed at the end of your stay but if you need it changed before then, please contact the site manager who will arrange it for you. Additional charges apply for extra linen
