Family sized Yurt sleeping a maximum of 6 guests with all the creature comforts for your home from home.
About Your Yurt
Willow is our greenest of Yurts with an ingenious composting loo. Bask in the morning sunlight through an open oak stable door and four picture windows. All by itself on the west of the field you can be totally alone to enjoy to the fresh morning breeze, birdsong and the rustle of the leaves.
4 single beds
A luxurious double bed, and four single beds complete with large dining table and indoor kitchen. Fresh linen and chest of drawers makes your rural retreat a home from home. Willow’s extra thick natural wall insulation, fully carpeted floor and the warmth of a wood burning stove will keep you blissfully cosy.
Fantastic atmospheric location. We loved staying in cosy Willow yurt. The bathroom and compost loo were great and we enjoyed the wood burning stove to keep us warm for a rainy October stay. The halloween activities were a huge highlight for our 6 year old son. There were heaps of gorgeous walks and lots of exploring to had. We would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.Natalie10/28/2020
Lovely site, with great facilities in a beautiful part of Sussex / The South Downs. Lots to do and great for families.Edward5/03/2021
Brilliant stay. Rachel who greeted and looked after us was brilliant - she greeted us upon arrival and drove our luggage to the yurt. Provided new ice blocks for the giant cool box and was incredibly kind and helpful.
We had a brilliant trip! Thank you.Sarah8/01/2016
I booked extremely last minute and Charlotte was very accommodating. She gave us a wonderfully warm welcome despite arriving later than I had said I would! A warm and excellent host. We loved the yurt - large, very comfortable beds, well equipped and stunning location. The yurts are well spaced out so you feel like you are in the field on your own. We loved the camp fire and BBQ. Perfect for the kiddies to run around and we will definitely be back. Thank you!Zoe8/27/2016
We had a great stay. Rachel and Charlotte were fantastic and really helpful. The yurt was plenty big enough for three grown ups and 15month old twins. Clean and tidy area. Very quiet and lots to see and do in the area. Will recommend and would love to go back.Tara7/30/2016
Fantastic experience, perfect for children's first experience of camping or getting back to nature with a few conveniences (like a dry yurt, as it rained almost constantly over our stay, save a few sunny hours!) - indoor log burner was excellent! Private bathroom hut is very nice to have, with warm running water. Beds very comfy and good to have blankets. Bring plenty of torches as it gets too dark to read inside and solar powered lighting is installed but won't last forever! And bring wellies as the field is beautiful but very dewy in the long grass even on sunny mornings. Lovely quiet campsite, lots of privacy and hosts / site manager Rach are very helpful. Highly recommend!Danae8/26/2018
How many yurts do you have?
We have just 5 yurts at Night Pastures. Beech & Oak sleep 4, Chestnut, Willow and Redwood sleep 6. The yurts are spaced some distance (50-100m) apart with Beech, Chestnut and Oak down one side, Willow on its own on the other and Redwood in the middle (between Beech and Willow).
What are the Bathroom facilities?
What are the Kitchen facilities like?
Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow all have their own covered, outdoor field kitchen a couple of meters from the yurt with gas burners, grill, sink for washing up and work surface. A large ice-box keeps all refrigerated items cold and fresh ice bricks are available daily. The yurts are fully equipped with all the plates, cutlery, glasses, utensils, pots and pans you will need for your stay. Redwood has use of the communal camp kitchen but is provided with all the same equipment as the other yurts. There is a picnic table outside each yurt as well as an indoor dining table in case it’s raining. Each yurt also has its own BBQ and BBQ packs are available to buy from the local pub.
What about Campfires?
We think campfires are essential for any glamping holiday! There is a large communal stone fire pit between Beech and Chestnut Yurts and each yurt has its own fire bowl. You will be provided with logs for the internal wood burner and additional logs for campfires can be purchased on site at £10 per bag. Please be careful to keep the fire pit away from the Yurt and control the fire at all times. Please note that there is no smoking or naked flames inside the Yurt.
What about Electricity & WiFi?
Is there Parking?
Parking is available in the field adjacent to Night Pastures and access to the yurts is via a short walk across the field. You can unload your car in the drop off zone by the gate where you will find wheelbarrows to help you move your luggage. Once unloaded, we ask that you move your car back to the main parking area to the right past the garages. We have a couple of disabled parking spaces available for the less mobile. Please note that in order to preserve Night Pastures unique environment and meadow habitat, parking next to your yurt is strictly prohibited.
Is Early Check-in & Late Check-out possible?
Do you have a minimum stay?
All of our yurts have a 2 night minimum stay and 3 nights over a bank holiday weekend.
Will I be cold?
There is a handmade wood burning stove in each yurt which will be prepared ready for your arrival. Within the cost of your booking, we provide a bag of logs, kindling, firelighters and a lighter. Additional bags of logs can be purchased for £10 per bag.
Are Linen and towels included?
The beds will be freshly made for your arrival with sheets, duvets and pillows. Towels and a bath mat are also provided for guests staying in Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow. All bedding is changed at the end of your stay but if you need it changed before then, please contact the site manager who will arrange it for you. Additional charges apply for extra linen
