Couples and your family sized Yurt sleeping a maximum of 4 guests in snuggly comfort and style.
About Your Yurt
Natural light spills through an open oak stable door and three picture windows. Sit back and listen to the sounds of bird song and the rustle of the leaves in the morning breeze. Breathe deep as the fresh air fills your lungs.
A luxurious double bed, and two optional single beds complete with fresh linen and chest of drawers makes your rural retreat a home from home. On those rare occasions when the sun doesn’t shine, the natural insulation of wood floor, wool rugs and the warmth of a wood burning stove will keep you blissfully cosy.
Had a perfect stay in the Oak Yurt over the bank holiday weekend, Brigit who met us gave us the lay of the land and then left us to our own devices.
We didn't want for anything the whole weekend and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the surroundings. Everything we need was provided and we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves any more!Stuart8/26/2014
The Yurt was absolutely magical; beautiful comfy bed, awesome kitchen and we saw a red kite, barn owl and a deer all from our spot on the picnic bench!
The camp kitchen was my favourite part - we barbequed every night and had everything we needed to cook up a good meal.
Thanks Charlotte and co for making us feel so welcome!Holly7/12/2015
We love Oak Yurt at Night pastures. The yurt is the last in the field and feels so private with stunning views across the field. I relax as soon as I arrive and this is our second visit now with two small children (8 & 3). The kids can run freely and we enjoyed our walks from the yurt too. I love the private toilet & shower which is immaculate, and just makes camping/glamping with kids a bit easier and more luxurious! Any problems we had were resolved really quickly by Charlotte and her team too, so I would really recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful yurt experience. We went mid week Tues-Fri and would definitely go again.
Beautiful location. Very comfortable for glamping. Cooking facilities were fairly basic. Fine for simple camp meals, but don't plan to do anything fancy. Bath facilities were quite good for a camp set-up, although the hot water in the shower was a bit tricky to manage. Hostess was very friendly and helpful. The setting was quiet, peaceful and very scenic.Peter7/10/2018
Rachel hosted us, and she was lovely. We were made to feel especially welcome on a special occasion, and she had some great tips for us on where to go and what to see.
The Yurt itself was great and came fully equipped with everything you could need, including a firepit outside which was great when the sun went down. It is a in a quiet little field off a country road, and although there are other yurts in the field, you are quite a distance away and you still get plenty of privacy.
We went to the Duke of Cumberland pub while we were there, and I cannot recommend it enough for the food. The meal was fantastic, and the walk there was nice too (although I'll admit we got a little lost!). It's a little pricey, but well worth it.
The only thing I would say is that we found it hard to get taxis that would take us to or pick us up from the Yurt. It is a little out of the way, and most taxi firms told us it wasn't profitable to pick us up, so just make sure if you're not driving, to get a couple of numbers off (Hidden by Airbnb) beforehand, as we couldn't get mobile data in the field.
Overall a great time, something a bit different but only an hour away from London - we would 100% stay again!James5/03/2016
Beautiful location, secluded and peaceful. The yurts are well equipped and comfortable. Be sure to follow the directions given as this is hidden away and the sat nav doesn't bring you to the field. We got lost and thankfully were guided in by phone but the signal was intermittent, I was glad we arrived in the light. Top tip is to bring your wellies as the yurts are in a field and you will have wet shoes if wet or in the dewy morning. We enjoyed the fire pits and log burner and had the sun shone for us this would have been idyllic.Julia8/09/2017
As a reluctant camper this yurt was everything I needed. A proper comfortable bed, the luxury of an ensuite, real kitchen facilities and the most beautiful starry nights. The wood burner was the highlight, due to a bit of damp weather, the ability to light a cosy fire to warm up and dodge the showers was perfect. Laying in bed at night with the fire crackling away was just the best. This was a great experience and we all hope to come back. Thank you for your lovely hospitality!Nicky7/23/2017
We had a fantastic time staying in 'Oak' Yurt! It's really cosy, clean and well equipped and in beautiful countryside, with lots to see and do nearby.
Rachel was really friendly, chilled out and helpful. We had a bbq one evening which ended up going on into the night, and ended up just leaving everything strewn about. In the cold light of day I was mortified at the mess but Rachel was very relaxed about it (obviously we tidyed it up!!)
We'd definitely come back and definitely recommend it to friends!Sarah9/07/2015
We had a wonderful time in the yurt. We were in Sussex for the Goodwood Revival and that was a lovely place to stay.
Charlotte and Rachel were very welcoming and available.
The yurt is absolutely charming especially the bathroom.
I definitely recommend this place to discover how beautiful is Sussex.Charless9/13/2015
This was truely a very nice experience! Camping in this type of Mongolian tent is superb!!! It's beautifully made and very romantic out on the country side with hardly any one in the neighbourhood.
With a clear sky millions of stars!
Rachel was there to say hello and show us around and she's a very sweet women and helpfull.
It's a great place to stay with friends and (small) children!
We had a wonderfull two nights stay and certainly will come back!Marjolein7/15/2014
We stayed in a 4-bed Yurt with our 11-year old and 4-year old and had a fantastic time. We saw deer in the field and pheasants at breakfast. The accommodation was clean and the beds very comfortable. Everything we needed was there, we needed only have brought ourselves, some food and change of clothes!Katherine6/13/2017
