Couples and small family sized Yurt sleeping a maximum of 4 guests in snuggly comfort and style.
About Your Yurt
Natural light spills through an open oak stable door and three picture windows. Sit back and listen to the sounds of bird song and the rustle of the leaves in the morning breeze. Breathe deep as the fresh air fills your lungs.
A luxurious double bed, and two optional single beds complete with fresh linen and chest of drawers makes your rural retreat a home from home. On those rare occasions when the sun doesn’t shine, the natural insulation of wood floor, wool rugs and the warmth of a wood burning stove will keep you blissfully cosy.
We had a fabulous 2 nights stay with our two boys (5 and 6 yrs). They loved the Yurt - as did we and the great tree swings by the duck pond. Wonderful. Very peaceful, beautiful walks nearby too. The yurt was amazing. The log burner fantastic and the shower hut next door clean, with plenty of hot water. The outdoor kitchen was fun and had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend it. The only thing I can think of to improve the experience would be to have a small 'porch' area at the door of the yurt which would allow you to keep the half door open without the rain coming in - yes - we even loved it when it rained as it was super snug inside listening to it and we were as warm as toast with the log burner. Thank you Charlotte.David8/12/2014
Very peaceful stay with great hosts!
Bed was a little uncomfortable and the other yurts are closer than you might like if you're up for some seclusion.Amy11/01/2020
We had a fantastic time staying in 'Oak' Yurt! It's really cosy, clean and well equipped and in beautiful countryside, with lots to see and do nearby.
Rachel was really friendly, chilled out and helpful. We had a bbq one evening which ended up going on into the night, and ended up just leaving everything strewn about. In the cold light of day I was mortified at the mess but Rachel was very relaxed about it (obviously we tidyed it up!!)
We'd definitely come back and definitely recommend it to friends!Sarah9/07/2015
A wonderful place with superb hosts. A chance to unwind under the stars with lots of space for the kids to play and safely roam (if you've got them) and not bother anyone else (if you haven't!). Cannot recommend it enough for a couple or family looking to get away from it all and in relative luxury too! I'd have that bed and shower at home all day long...Ollie8/29/2016
A little escape from reality, lovely place to go for the weekend, country air and listen to the birds and wildlife!!Mike5/06/2019
We had a really fab, relaxing time at Oak Yurt. We were warmly welcomed and everything was as described. Our daughter had a fab time. We would definitely recommend booking a yurt here.Emma8/30/2016
What can I say. Idyllic location, quiet and fully back to nature.
The Yurt was spacious and clean. The oven was the perfect size to add a little warmth in what was never really a cold evening, but it took the edge off, until I made it too hot! Not complaining, fully my fault.
The camp kitchen and grill were ideal for our 5-night stay. The field was flat and felt huge. This gave the impression of a lot of sky, both for blue sky and sunny days, but also star-filled nights.
The bathroom was excellent and spotless.
This was our first experience in a Yurt and we can honestly say it was the most relaxed we had been for ages. As hosts Charlotte/Bozhanka and Rachel were great.
Finally...the bed. Totally awesome and comfortable. Our one pet peeve in life is when we spend money but cannot (Website hidden by Airbnb) such problem here. The bed and mattress were great. Excellent choices made.
Thank you for giving us a taste of nature and some simple life. Very comfortable, very relaxing and thoroughly recommended.Alen7/23/2018
Rachel was very welcoming and helpful! We absolutely loved the yurt and weekend on the farm! Yurt, kitchen and bathroom were clean and the bed super comfy. Surrounding landscape and villages are beautiful - just perfect for longer walks. Would definitely recommend, especially to families with younger children!Anne5/04/2016

How many yurts do you have?
We have just 5 yurts at Night Pastures. Beech & Oak sleep 4, Chestnut, Willow and Redwood sleep 6. The yurts are spaced some distance (50-100m) apart with Beech, Chestnut and Oak down one side, Willow on its own on the other and Redwood in the middle (between Beech and Willow).
What are the Bathroom facilities?
What are the Kitchen facilities like?
Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow all have their own covered, outdoor field kitchen a couple of meters from the yurt with gas burners, grill, sink for washing up and work surface. A large ice-box keeps all refrigerated items cold and fresh ice bricks are available daily. The yurts are fully equipped with all the plates, cutlery, glasses, utensils, pots and pans you will need for your stay. Redwood has use of the communal camp kitchen but is provided with all the same equipment as the other yurts. There is a picnic table outside each yurt as well as an indoor dining table in case it’s raining. Each yurt also has its own BBQ and BBQ packs are available to buy from the local pub.
What about Campfires?
We think campfires are essential for any glamping holiday! There is a large communal stone fire pit between Beech and Chestnut Yurts and each yurt has its own fire bowl. You will be provided with logs for the internal wood burner and additional logs for campfires can be purchased on site at £10 per bag. Please be careful to keep the fire pit away from the Yurt and control the fire at all times. Please note that there is no smoking or naked flames inside the Yurt.
What about Electricity & WiFi?
Is there Parking?
Parking is available in the field adjacent to Night Pastures and access to the yurts is via a short walk across the field. You can unload your car in the drop off zone by the gate where you will find wheelbarrows to help you move your luggage. Once unloaded, we ask that you move your car back to the main parking area to the right past the garages. We have a couple of disabled parking spaces available for the less mobile. Please note that in order to preserve Night Pastures unique environment and meadow habitat, parking next to your yurt is strictly prohibited.
Is Early Check-in & Late Check-out possible?
Do you have a minimum stay?
All of our yurts have a 2 night minimum stay and 3 nights over a bank holiday weekend.
Will I be cold?
There is a handmade wood burning stove in each yurt which will be prepared ready for your arrival. Within the cost of your booking, we provide a bag of logs, kindling, firelighters and a lighter. Additional bags of logs can be purchased for £10 per bag.
Are Linen and towels included?
The beds will be freshly made for your arrival with sheets, duvets and pillows. Towels and a bath mat are also provided for guests staying in Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow. All bedding is changed at the end of your stay but if you need it changed before then, please contact the site manager who will arrange it for you. Additional charges apply for extra linen
