Couples and small family sized Yurt sleeping a maximum of 4 guests in snuggly comfort and style.
About Your Yurt
Natural light spills through an open oak stable door and three picture windows. Sit back and listen to the sounds of bird song and the rustle of the leaves in the morning breeze. Breathe deep as the fresh air fills your lungs.
A luxurious double bed, and two optional single beds complete with fresh linen and chest of drawers makes your rural retreat a home from home. On those rare occasions when the sun doesn’t shine, the natural insulation of wood floor, wool rugs and the warmth of a wood burning stove will keep you blissfully cosy.
Great trip, Rach was very helpful with everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!Jemma8/26/2018
Had a perfect stay in the Oak Yurt over the bank holiday weekend, Brigit who met us gave us the lay of the land and then left us to our own devices.
We didn't want for anything the whole weekend and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the surroundings. Everything we need was provided and we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves any more!Stuart8/26/2014
This place is truly magnificent. We will be back. Sooner rather than later. Every detail was considered. It really is a case of packing your clothes and a toothbrush, and you're away. The linen was beautiful, towels and face cloths soft, ample shampoo, conditioner, soap etc, ice packs supplied daily for the personal coolbox, the outdoor kitchen fully equipped, and the yurt and bathroom were spotlessly clean. I can't praise enough. I took fairy lights, firelighters, washing up liquid, blankets, candles, tea towels, torches etc. No need. It's all there. It provides all the joy of being outdoors without any of the effort. I have recommended the yurts to everyone I know. My 11 year old son son caught trout in the lake, crayfish in the stream, and my 4 year old daughter was able to run free, yet always be in sight. Bozhanka was the perfect host - present enough to answer any questions, yet never intrusive. I have been glamping many times in many locations, but this is something else. It's clear that the owner really cares about this business, and the guest experience. LOVE ❤️Rebecca6/03/2018
Rachel was very welcoming and helpful! We absolutely loved the yurt and weekend on the farm! Yurt, kitchen and bathroom were clean and the bed super comfy. Surrounding landscape and villages are beautiful - just perfect for longer walks. Would definitely recommend, especially to families with younger children!Anne5/04/2016
We had a 3 night family mini break at the magically named Night Pastures. What a tonic. The yurt was set well apart from the other yurts and tents giving a lovely feeling of space and privacy. It was the ideal place for the children to run around and explore safely. The beds were comfy and the en suite facilities great - amazing you can get instant hot water that far down a meadow!
We also bought the half board food pack from the local pub which was delicious and made life much easier. The countryside in which Night Pastures is located is just gorgeous, yet it is an easy drive from London. We would definitely return.Alison7/05/2020
If you are keen on a place in the middle of the South Downs... this is the place to be. Enjoy the warm welcome of Bozhanka, the peace and quiet, the deer running behind the Yurt! We would definitely go back!Marjolijn7/26/2018
Beautiful location, secluded and peaceful. The yurts are well equipped and comfortable. Be sure to follow the directions given as this is hidden away and the sat nav doesn't bring you to the field. We got lost and thankfully were guided in by phone but the signal was intermittent, I was glad we arrived in the light. Top tip is to bring your wellies as the yurts are in a field and you will have wet shoes if wet or in the dewy morning. We enjoyed the fire pits and log burner and had the sun shone for us this would have been idyllic.Julia8/09/2017
Rachel hosted us, and she was lovely. We were made to feel especially welcome on a special occasion, and she had some great tips for us on where to go and what to see.
The Yurt itself was great and came fully equipped with everything you could need, including a firepit outside which was great when the sun went down. It is a in a quiet little field off a country road, and although there are other yurts in the field, you are quite a distance away and you still get plenty of privacy.
We went to the Duke of Cumberland pub while we were there, and I cannot recommend it enough for the food. The meal was fantastic, and the walk there was nice too (although I'll admit we got a little lost!). It's a little pricey, but well worth it.
The only thing I would say is that we found it hard to get taxis that would take us to or pick us up from the Yurt. It is a little out of the way, and most taxi firms told us it wasn't profitable to pick us up, so just make sure if you're not driving, to get a couple of numbers off (Hidden by Airbnb) beforehand, as we couldn't get mobile data in the field.
Overall a great time, something a bit different but only an hour away from London - we would 100% stay again!James5/03/2016
We had a really fab, relaxing time at Oak Yurt. We were warmly welcomed and everything was as described. Our daughter had a fab time. We would definitely recommend booking a yurt here.Emma8/30/2016
Well equipped yurts in the most idyllic setting. It felt like we could step away from the daily grind of life and enjoy nature. Loved the field kitchen and wood burning stove for cooler evenings. The pasture is so beautiful to look out on. Lovely for families too.Victoria7/28/2017
How many yurts do you have?
We have just 5 yurts at Night Pastures. Beech & Oak sleep 4, Chestnut, Willow and Redwood sleep 6. The yurts are spaced some distance (50-100m) apart with Beech, Chestnut and Oak down one side, Willow on its own on the other and Redwood in the middle (between Beech and Willow).
What are the Bathroom facilities?
What are the Kitchen facilities like?
Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow all have their own covered, outdoor field kitchen a couple of meters from the yurt with gas burners, grill, sink for washing up and work surface. A large ice-box keeps all refrigerated items cold and fresh ice bricks are available daily. The yurts are fully equipped with all the plates, cutlery, glasses, utensils, pots and pans you will need for your stay. Redwood has use of the communal camp kitchen but is provided with all the same equipment as the other yurts. There is a picnic table outside each yurt as well as an indoor dining table in case it’s raining. Each yurt also has its own BBQ and BBQ packs are available to buy from the local pub.
What about Campfires?
We think campfires are essential for any glamping holiday! There is a large communal stone fire pit between Beech and Chestnut Yurts and each yurt has its own fire bowl. You will be provided with logs for the internal wood burner and additional logs for campfires can be purchased on site at £10 per bag. Please be careful to keep the fire pit away from the Yurt and control the fire at all times. Please note that there is no smoking or naked flames inside the Yurt.
What about Electricity & WiFi?
Is there Parking?
Parking is available in the field adjacent to Night Pastures and access to the yurts is via a short walk across the field. You can unload your car in the drop off zone by the gate where you will find wheelbarrows to help you move your luggage. Once unloaded, we ask that you move your car back to the main parking area to the right past the garages. We have a couple of disabled parking spaces available for the less mobile. Please note that in order to preserve Night Pastures unique environment and meadow habitat, parking next to your yurt is strictly prohibited.
Is Early Check-in & Late Check-out possible?
Do you have a minimum stay?
All of our yurts have a 2 night minimum stay and 3 nights over a bank holiday weekend.
Will I be cold?
There is a handmade wood burning stove in each yurt which will be prepared ready for your arrival. Within the cost of your booking, we provide a bag of logs, kindling, firelighters and a lighter. Additional bags of logs can be purchased for £10 per bag.
Are Linen and towels included?
The beds will be freshly made for your arrival with sheets, duvets and pillows. Towels and a bath mat are also provided for guests staying in Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow. All bedding is changed at the end of your stay but if you need it changed before then, please contact the site manager who will arrange it for you. Additional charges apply for extra linen
