Beech Yurt

Couples and young family sized Yurt sleeping a maximum of 4 guests in snuggly comfort and style.

About Your Yurt

Natural light spills through an open oak stable door and three picture windows.  Sit back and listen to the sounds of bird song and the rustle of the leaves in the morning breeze.  Breathe deep as the fresh air fills your lungs.

What’s inside

A luxurious double bed, and two optional single beds complete with fresh linen and chest of drawers makes your rural retreat a home from home. On those rare occasions when the sun doesn’t shine, the natural insulation of wood floor, wool rugs and the warmth of a wood burning stove will keep you blissfully cosy.

  • 10/10 would do again. The place is absolutely gorgeous and we were fortunate to have plenty of sunshine when we stayed, which really accentuated the scenic backdrop. The outdoor area was perfect for when it was warm during the day, and there was plenty of cold water to drench ourselves in to cool down and in the evenings the significant temperature drop could be compensated with the ever so useful and nifty wood burning stoves in yhe yurt. The kitchen was fully equipped and came with all the utensils/cutlery you may need. Charging points for phones are available in the yurt, however one needs to be clever to find the right spot for a strong signal - however the break from constant notifications was a delight in itself. I would wholeheartedly recommend everyone experience this.

If you are keen on a place in the middle of the South Downs... this is the place to be. Enjoy the warm welcome of Bozhanka, the peace and quiet, the deer running behind the Yurt! We would definitely go back!

Rachel was very welcoming and helpful! We absolutely loved the yurt and weekend on the farm! Yurt, kitchen and bathroom were clean and the bed super comfy. Surrounding landscape and villages are beautiful - just perfect for longer walks. Would definitely recommend, especially to families with younger children!

  • Rachel hosted us, and she was lovely. We were made to feel especially welcome on a special occasion, and she had some great tips for us on where to go and what to see.

The Yurt itself was great and came fully equipped with everything you could need, including a firepit outside which was great when the sun went down. It is a in a quiet little field off a country road, and although there are other yurts in the field, you are quite a distance away and you still get plenty of privacy.

We went to the Duke of Cumberland pub while we were there, and I cannot recommend it enough for the food. The meal was fantastic, and the walk there was nice too (although I'll admit we got a little lost!). It's a little pricey, but well worth it.

The only thing I would say is that we found it hard to get taxis that would take us to or pick us up from the Yurt. It is a little out of the way, and most taxi firms told us it wasn't profitable to pick us up, so just make sure if you're not driving, to get a couple of numbers off (Hidden by Airbnb) beforehand, as we couldn't get mobile data in the field.

Overall a great time, something a bit different but only an hour away from London - we would 100% stay again!

Our family loved our stay in the yurt. We were lucky with the weather and the kids played in the field. Can't wait to stay again.

We loved our stay in the yurt. There was everything we needed to feel at home and the beds were very comfy. The view is nice and it is a great place to enjoy a quiet weekend away from London. Rachel and Charlotte were great at communicating and see if everything was ok

  • You will find all the comfort and beauty a camping site can offer. Just outstanding.

As a reluctant camper this yurt was everything I needed. A proper comfortable bed, the luxury of an ensuite, real kitchen facilities and the most beautiful starry nights. The wood burner was the highlight, due to a bit of damp weather, the ability to light a cosy fire to warm up and dodge the showers was perfect. Laying in bed at night with the fire crackling away was just the best. This was a great experience and we all hope to come back. Thank you for your lovely hospitality!

A wonderful place with superb hosts. A chance to unwind under the stars with lots of space for the kids to play and safely roam (if you've got them) and not bother anyone else (if you haven't!). Cannot recommend it enough for a couple or family looking to get away from it all and in relative luxury too! I'd have that bed and shower at home all day long...

  • We love Oak Yurt at Night pastures. The yurt is the last in the field and feels so private with stunning views across the field. I relax as soon as I arrive and this is our second visit now with two small children (8 & 3). The kids can run freely and we enjoyed our walks from the yurt too. I love the private toilet & shower which is immaculate, and just makes camping/glamping with kids a bit easier and more luxurious! Any problems we had were resolved really quickly by Charlotte and her team too, so I would really recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful yurt experience. We went mid week Tues-Fri and would definitely go again.

    Thank you!

Me and my boyfriend had a incredibly relaxing 2 night stay in the Oak Yurt in October half term. The Yurt was perfect, really cosy once the fire started. A beautiful area with gorgeous country walks to be taken. A perfect place for a relaxing short stay.

This place is truly magnificent. We will be back. Sooner rather than later. Every detail was considered. It really is a case of packing your clothes and a toothbrush, and you're away. The linen was beautiful, towels and face cloths soft, ample shampoo, conditioner, soap etc, ice packs supplied daily for the personal coolbox, the outdoor kitchen fully equipped, and the yurt and bathroom were spotlessly clean. I can't praise enough. I took fairy lights, firelighters, washing up liquid, blankets, candles, tea towels, torches etc. No need. It's all there. It provides all the joy of being outdoors without any of the effort. I have recommended the yurts to everyone I know. My 11 year old son son caught trout in the lake, crayfish in the stream, and my 4 year old daughter was able to run free, yet always be in sight. Bozhanka was the perfect host - present enough to answer any questions, yet never intrusive. I have been glamping many times in many locations, but this is something else. It's clear that the owner really cares about this business, and the guest experience. LOVE ❤️
