Couples and young family sized Yurt sleeping a maximum of 4 guests in snuggly comfort and style.
About Your Yurt
Natural light spills through an open oak stable door and three picture windows. Sit back and listen to the sounds of bird song and the rustle of the leaves in the morning breeze. Breathe deep as the fresh air fills your lungs.
A luxurious double bed, and two optional single beds complete with fresh linen and chest of drawers makes your rural retreat a home from home. On those rare occasions when the sun doesn’t shine, the natural insulation of wood floor, wool rugs and the warmth of a wood burning stove will keep you blissfully cosy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay here with our two children (2 and 5 years old). Everything we needed to be comfortable while still feeling like a bit of an adventure. Great for some quiet, back to basics family time. Many thanks for making us so welcome 🙂 🙂Melissa4/16/2017
Spacious yurt with private cooking and toilet facilities. Perfect for anyone who wants camping with all the extras added in. Lovely peaceful
Location- ideal for a relaxing get awayVicki8/05/2018
We stayed in a 4-bed Yurt with our 11-year old and 4-year old and had a fantastic time. We saw deer in the field and pheasants at breakfast. The accommodation was clean and the beds very comfortable. Everything we needed was there, we needed only have brought ourselves, some food and change of clothes!Katherine6/13/2017
We love Oak Yurt at Night pastures. The yurt is the last in the field and feels so private with stunning views across the field. I relax as soon as I arrive and this is our second visit now with two small children (8 & 3). The kids can run freely and we enjoyed our walks from the yurt too. I love the private toilet & shower which is immaculate, and just makes camping/glamping with kids a bit easier and more luxurious! Any problems we had were resolved really quickly by Charlotte and her team too, so I would really recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful yurt experience. We went mid week Tues-Fri and would definitely go again.
This was truely a very nice experience! Camping in this type of Mongolian tent is superb!!! It's beautifully made and very romantic out on the country side with hardly any one in the neighbourhood.
With a clear sky millions of stars!
Rachel was there to say hello and show us around and she's a very sweet women and helpfull.
It's a great place to stay with friends and (small) children!
We had a wonderfull two nights stay and certainly will come back!Marjolein7/15/2014
We had a fantastic stay at Night Pastures Campsite. The field and surrounding area is stunning and Rachel was so friendly and helpful. The Yurt was beautifully made and had everything you would ever need. Couldn't have asked for a more chilled and relaxing bank holiday weekend. Thank you and hope to see you again!Shaun5/31/2016
We had a 3 night family mini break at the magically named Night Pastures. What a tonic. The yurt was set well apart from the other yurts and tents giving a lovely feeling of space and privacy. It was the ideal place for the children to run around and explore safely. The beds were comfy and the en suite facilities great - amazing you can get instant hot water that far down a meadow!
We also bought the half board food pack from the local pub which was delicious and made life much easier. The countryside in which Night Pastures is located is just gorgeous, yet it is an easy drive from London. We would definitely return.Alison7/05/2020
What a lovely spot. We enjoyed 4 days with our two young children, in our first yurt experience. Very comfortable, cosy, clean and well equipped. A really friendly reception. Very impressed and we would definitely recommend.Fiona9/01/2015
We had a wonderful time at the Oax Yurt and would highly recommend it. The beds are really comfy and the wood burner kept us cosy and warm, while the kitchen was well equipped with all we needed to have a great barbecue one night. There are lovely walks to do on the farm and we spotted a lot of wildlife -you truly feel like you are surrounded by nature... all the while having lovely fresh sheets and fluffy towels in the brand new bathroom!
Charlotte was very helpful and found a local bike company who hired us brand new bikes and dropped them right to the door of the Yurt, and Rachel who checked us in was really friendly. Thanks for a wonderful time, we will be recommending you to our friends and may even be back ourselves!Charlotte5/27/2014
Rachel hosted us, and she was lovely. We were made to feel especially welcome on a special occasion, and she had some great tips for us on where to go and what to see.
The Yurt itself was great and came fully equipped with everything you could need, including a firepit outside which was great when the sun went down. It is a in a quiet little field off a country road, and although there are other yurts in the field, you are quite a distance away and you still get plenty of privacy.
We went to the Duke of Cumberland pub while we were there, and I cannot recommend it enough for the food. The meal was fantastic, and the walk there was nice too (although I'll admit we got a little lost!). It's a little pricey, but well worth it.
The only thing I would say is that we found it hard to get taxis that would take us to or pick us up from the Yurt. It is a little out of the way, and most taxi firms told us it wasn't profitable to pick us up, so just make sure if you're not driving, to get a couple of numbers off (Hidden by Airbnb) beforehand, as we couldn't get mobile data in the field.
Overall a great time, something a bit different but only an hour away from London - we would 100% stay again!James5/03/2016
How many yurts do you have?
We have just 5 yurts at Night Pastures. Beech & Oak sleep 4, Chestnut, Willow and Redwood sleep 6. The yurts are spaced some distance (50-100m) apart with Beech, Chestnut and Oak down one side, Willow on its own on the other and Redwood in the middle (between Beech and Willow).
What are the Bathroom facilities?
What are the Kitchen facilities like?
Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow all have their own covered, outdoor field kitchen a couple of meters from the yurt with gas burners, grill, sink for washing up and work surface. A large ice-box keeps all refrigerated items cold and fresh ice bricks are available daily. The yurts are fully equipped with all the plates, cutlery, glasses, utensils, pots and pans you will need for your stay. Redwood has use of the communal camp kitchen but is provided with all the same equipment as the other yurts. There is a picnic table outside each yurt as well as an indoor dining table in case it’s raining. Each yurt also has its own BBQ and BBQ packs are available to buy from the local pub.
What about Campfires?
We think campfires are essential for any glamping holiday! There is a large communal stone fire pit between Beech and Chestnut Yurts and each yurt has its own fire bowl. You will be provided with logs for the internal wood burner and additional logs for campfires can be purchased on site at £10 per bag. Please be careful to keep the fire pit away from the Yurt and control the fire at all times. Please note that there is no smoking or naked flames inside the Yurt.
What about Electricity & WiFi?
Is there Parking?
Parking is available in the field adjacent to Night Pastures and access to the yurts is via a short walk across the field. You can unload your car in the drop off zone by the gate where you will find wheelbarrows to help you move your luggage. Once unloaded, we ask that you move your car back to the main parking area to the right past the garages. We have a couple of disabled parking spaces available for the less mobile. Please note that in order to preserve Night Pastures unique environment and meadow habitat, parking next to your yurt is strictly prohibited.
Is Early Check-in & Late Check-out possible?
Do you have a minimum stay?
All of our yurts have a 2 night minimum stay and 3 nights over a bank holiday weekend.
Will I be cold?
There is a handmade wood burning stove in each yurt which will be prepared ready for your arrival. Within the cost of your booking, we provide a bag of logs, kindling, firelighters and a lighter. Additional bags of logs can be purchased for £10 per bag.
Are Linen and towels included?
The beds will be freshly made for your arrival with sheets, duvets and pillows. Towels and a bath mat are also provided for guests staying in Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow. All bedding is changed at the end of your stay but if you need it changed before then, please contact the site manager who will arrange it for you. Additional charges apply for extra linen
