Couples and young family sized Yurt sleeping a maximum of 4 guests in snuggly comfort and style.
About Your Yurt
Natural light spills through an open oak stable door and three picture windows. Sit back and listen to the sounds of bird song and the rustle of the leaves in the morning breeze. Breathe deep as the fresh air fills your lungs.
A luxurious double bed, and two optional single beds complete with fresh linen and chest of drawers makes your rural retreat a home from home. On those rare occasions when the sun doesn’t shine, the natural insulation of wood floor, wool rugs and the warmth of a wood burning stove will keep you blissfully cosy.
The Yurt was absolutely magical; beautiful comfy bed, awesome kitchen and we saw a red kite, barn owl and a deer all from our spot on the picnic bench!
The camp kitchen was my favourite part - we barbequed every night and had everything we needed to cook up a good meal.
Thanks Charlotte and co for making us feel so welcome!Holly7/12/2015
We loved it here, Rachel and Charlotte were very friendly and helpful. It was a lovely remote setting and the yurt was very comfortable, best nights sleep in a long time! Great location with lots of vineyeards and villages to visit. Would definitely recommend staying here for a break from city life.Becci5/04/2015
Had a perfect stay in the Oak Yurt over the bank holiday weekend, Brigit who met us gave us the lay of the land and then left us to our own devices.
We didn't want for anything the whole weekend and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the surroundings. Everything we need was provided and we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves any more!Stuart8/26/2014
10/10 would do again. The place is absolutely gorgeous and we were fortunate to have plenty of sunshine when we stayed, which really accentuated the scenic backdrop. The outdoor area was perfect for when it was warm during the day, and there was plenty of cold water to drench ourselves in to cool down and in the evenings the significant temperature drop could be compensated with the ever so useful and nifty wood burning stoves in yhe yurt. The kitchen was fully equipped and came with all the utensils/cutlery you may need. Charging points for phones are available in the yurt, however one needs to be clever to find the right spot for a strong signal - however the break from constant notifications was a delight in itself. I would wholeheartedly recommend everyone experience this.Suhaib7/06/2017
This place is truly magnificent. We will be back. Sooner rather than later. Every detail was considered. It really is a case of packing your clothes and a toothbrush, and you're away. The linen was beautiful, towels and face cloths soft, ample shampoo, conditioner, soap etc, ice packs supplied daily for the personal coolbox, the outdoor kitchen fully equipped, and the yurt and bathroom were spotlessly clean. I can't praise enough. I took fairy lights, firelighters, washing up liquid, blankets, candles, tea towels, torches etc. No need. It's all there. It provides all the joy of being outdoors without any of the effort. I have recommended the yurts to everyone I know. My 11 year old son son caught trout in the lake, crayfish in the stream, and my 4 year old daughter was able to run free, yet always be in sight. Bozhanka was the perfect host - present enough to answer any questions, yet never intrusive. I have been glamping many times in many locations, but this is something else. It's clear that the owner really cares about this business, and the guest experience. LOVE ❤️Rebecca6/03/2018
Really wonderful weekend away with my family. Such a wonderful venue and location. Clean, tidy, comfortable and the perfect spot to just get away from our busy lives. Great hosts too!Renatha7/25/2016
We had a really fab, relaxing time at Oak Yurt. We were warmly welcomed and everything was as described. Our daughter had a fab time. We would definitely recommend booking a yurt here.Emma8/30/2016
Beautiful location, secluded and peaceful. The yurts are well equipped and comfortable. Be sure to follow the directions given as this is hidden away and the sat nav doesn't bring you to the field. We got lost and thankfully were guided in by phone but the signal was intermittent, I was glad we arrived in the light. Top tip is to bring your wellies as the yurts are in a field and you will have wet shoes if wet or in the dewy morning. We enjoyed the fire pits and log burner and had the sun shone for us this would have been idyllic.Julia8/09/2017
We had a fantastic time this weekend - the yurt was perfect, the location was great for walks and there were lots of nice pubs within a couple of miles or so. Charlotte was lovely and really helpful throughout. Would definitely stay again.Matt8/18/2014
How many yurts do you have?
We have just 5 yurts at Night Pastures. Beech & Oak sleep 4, Chestnut, Willow and Redwood sleep 6. The yurts are spaced some distance (50-100m) apart with Beech, Chestnut and Oak down one side, Willow on its own on the other and Redwood in the middle (between Beech and Willow).
What are the Bathroom facilities?
What are the Kitchen facilities like?
Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow all have their own covered, outdoor field kitchen a couple of meters from the yurt with gas burners, grill, sink for washing up and work surface. A large ice-box keeps all refrigerated items cold and fresh ice bricks are available daily. The yurts are fully equipped with all the plates, cutlery, glasses, utensils, pots and pans you will need for your stay. Redwood has use of the communal camp kitchen but is provided with all the same equipment as the other yurts. There is a picnic table outside each yurt as well as an indoor dining table in case it’s raining. Each yurt also has its own BBQ and BBQ packs are available to buy from the local pub.
What about Campfires?
We think campfires are essential for any glamping holiday! There is a large communal stone fire pit between Beech and Chestnut Yurts and each yurt has its own fire bowl. You will be provided with logs for the internal wood burner and additional logs for campfires can be purchased on site at £10 per bag. Please be careful to keep the fire pit away from the Yurt and control the fire at all times. Please note that there is no smoking or naked flames inside the Yurt.
What about Electricity & WiFi?
Is there Parking?
Parking is available in the field adjacent to Night Pastures and access to the yurts is via a short walk across the field. You can unload your car in the drop off zone by the gate where you will find wheelbarrows to help you move your luggage. Once unloaded, we ask that you move your car back to the main parking area to the right past the garages. We have a couple of disabled parking spaces available for the less mobile. Please note that in order to preserve Night Pastures unique environment and meadow habitat, parking next to your yurt is strictly prohibited.
Is Early Check-in & Late Check-out possible?
Do you have a minimum stay?
All of our yurts have a 2 night minimum stay and 3 nights over a bank holiday weekend.
Will I be cold?
There is a handmade wood burning stove in each yurt which will be prepared ready for your arrival. Within the cost of your booking, we provide a bag of logs, kindling, firelighters and a lighter. Additional bags of logs can be purchased for £10 per bag.
Are Linen and towels included?
The beds will be freshly made for your arrival with sheets, duvets and pillows. Towels and a bath mat are also provided for guests staying in Beech, Oak, Chestnut and Willow. All bedding is changed at the end of your stay but if you need it changed before then, please contact the site manager who will arrange it for you. Additional charges apply for extra linen
